The PVD Mobile Data Center provides the latest in on-demand architecture for network-critical physical infrastructure (NCPI), integrating power, cooling, rack, management and services. The following is a general overview of a typical configuration: |
| |
Power: |
Accepts up to 2 utility feeds as “normal power” |
Designed to export electrical power to meet external needs |
| |
Electricity is immediately available from the powerful and quiet “prime rated” generator, and/or by connecting to utility power supplies through the externally accessible utility power bay. Automatic transfer switches control the generator and utility power for seamless source control, and the solution comes equipped with dual transfer switches as it is configured to accept two utility feeds. |
| |
UPS: |
| |
Features a centralized UPS system |
Provides 4.5 minutes of battery time at full load |
N+1 Power Module Configuration to optimize power availability and redundancy |
| |
Racks: |
| |
42U Equipment Racks with 0U metered Rack Mount PDU;s to accommodate all equipment |
| |

Complete humidification system including water tank |
| |
Management: |
| |
Features ISX Manager and NetBotz for monitoring critical functions |
| |
Monitoring and management of cooling, rack-loads, and power is accomplished through the InfraStruXure Manager, providing monitoring and graphical control of all key NCPI and environmental components and parameters. |

Fuel Options: |
| |
Incorporates flexibility in the selection of diesel fuels |
| |
o Configured to operate on fuel stored in its “day-tank”, and/or |
| |
o Can use fuel stored in a tractor’s saddle tanks, and/or |
| |
o May connect to an external “skid-tank”. |
| |
The PVD Mobile Data Center uses a low-emissions diesel engine that can run on standard off-road diesel, low-sulfur over-the-road diesel, or bio-fuels including sulfur-free bio-diesel or bio-diesel blends. It is the cleanest technology available, and is able to use renewable, non-toxic domestically produced fuels. The PVD Mobile Data Center incorporates a “day tank”, as well as options that allow the PVD Mobile Data Center to draw fuel from multiple sources, and seamlessly transition between sources. |

| |
Fire Detection: |
| |
Includes a cross-zone fire detection system |
Features independent detection zones above and below the floor |
Incorporates photoelectric and ionization detectors |
| |
A multi-zone high precision cross-zone fire protection system independently monitors the data center and network operations center, and the under-floor area, providing audible and visual alarms, along with control over the fire suppression systems. |
| |
Fire Suppression: |
| |
Utilizes FM-200 and Ecaro 25 fire extinguishing agent |
Matches each detection zone with separate suppression units |
| |
Two zones of fire suppression through clean and reliable FM-200 or Ecaro 25 technology is provided, to independently serve the data center and network operations center, and the under-floor area. |
| |
Access Control: |
| |
An access control system using HID security card technology is included. The access control system is compatible with most major corporate security systems, and features addressable access control architecture. The PVD Mobile Data Center links the access control system to heavy-duty door strikes, which are used in conjunction with a door’s exit hardware. |
| |
NOC: |
| |
Incorporates a Network Operations Control center (Optional) |
| |
A network operations center allows for briefings, meetings, and the conduct of general operations in a comfortable and efficient environment, with excellent sound isolation and independent lighting and air conditioning. |
| |
Security: |
| |
Supports optional security camera for internal and perimeter security |
| |
In addition to access control, security can be enhanced by an optional multi-camera surveillance system, with hard-wired and web-based compatibility in conjunction with on-board recording of activity occurring around the perimeter of the PVD Mobile Data Center. |
| |
Satellite: |
| |
Supports optional security camera for internal and perimeter security |
| |
Voice and data connectivity is assured, even in disaster areas through the PVD Mobile Data Center’s high-speed satellite link, which can provide initial connectivity and band-width before fiber and copper voice and data connections can be established. |
